G-2 driver cited for going 107 km/h on Howard Avenue

A Windsor man's need for speed has landed him in trouble with police.

A Windsor police Traffic Enforcement Unit spotted a vehicle being driven dangerously fast in the area of Howard Avenue and Logan Street, at about 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

The vehicle was clocked going 107 kilometres per hour in a 50-kilometre-per-hour zone.

The 23-year-old driver, who had only a G-2 licence, was cited for stunt driving.

The driver will try public transit for 30 days as his licence was suspended and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days.
