Tecumseh man eyeing a new set of golf clubs with winnings

A Tecumseh man says he was in shock when he realized he had won $50,000 playing ONTARIO 49.

He won the second prize in the October 8 draw.

Marc, who did not share his last name, has been playing the lottery for at least 30 years and always makes sure he chooses OLG's Quick Pick feature.

"I found out I had the winning ticket the morning after the draw," he said. "When I checked my numbers on OLG.ca, I was in shock."

The 66-year-old says when he shared the news with his wife, she shared his excitement.

Marc plans to use his winnings for some home repairs, possibly buying a new set of golf clubs.

"I just retired a few months ago, so this win couldn't have come at a better time," he said.

The winning ticket was bought at Allen's Supermarket on Walker Road in McGregor.
