Windsor firefighters kept busy on Monday

Windsor Fire and Rescue reported that firefighters responded to two separate incidents at businesses on Monday.

The first was reported soon after 8 a.m. at a business on St. Etienne Boulevard near Central Avenue.

When crews arrived, they noticed fire affecting the roof top unit. It was quickly put out, and firefighters left the scene within the hour.

The second fire was reported soon after 10:30 a.m. at the No Frills grocery store on Howard Avenue across from Devonshire Mall.

Fire officials say the fire was confined to a cooler, and it was extinguished in about an hour.

No one was hurt in either incident. There is also no word yet on a cause for either fire or damage estimates.
