Woman wanted for kidnapping and robbery arrested in London

Windsor police say a woman wanted on multiple charges in connection with a kidnapping has been found in London.

The 29-year-old woman was found on Monday at a motel on Exeter Road. She has been arrested and brought back to Windsor.

She faces ten charges, including robbery with an offensive weapon, assault causing bodily harm, forcible confinement, and kidnapping, all related to an April 16 incident.

The charges have not been proven in court.

Police say a man visited an acquaintance at a home in the area of Lauzon Road and Yolanda Street. When he arrived, he was allegedly attacked by three masked suspects armed with firearms. The suspects threatened, beat, and robbed the victim.

The man was then reportedly held against his will. The suspects later attempted to force him into a vehicle, but he escaped and got help. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

One of the suspects then fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle, which was later recovered.

Windsor police continue to look for the three additional suspects connected with this incident.

Anyone with information should call Windsor police's Major Crimes Unit at (519) 255-6700, extension 4830. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).
