Suspect wanted in violent marketplace robbery

Windsor police are seeking a suspect in connection with a robbery that originated from an online posting.

It happened shortly after 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15. The victim told police that a man who identified himself as "Mike Gagnier" met him to purchase a cellphone advertised on Facebook Marketplace.

The victim said they conversed briefly, then the suspect shoved the victim to the ground, grabbed the phone, and fled. The victim suffered minor injuries.

The suspect is described as a Black male, about 20 to 25 years old, with a slender build. He was wearing a grey sweater and ripped blue jeans.

Police have released security camera images of the suspect.
