If you're planning a civil wedding in the Municipality of Leamington this fall, there is a service adjustment you must know.
The Municipality will put a temporary suspension on civil marriage services and municipal wedding photo sessions for most of October.
The pause, scheduled from October 5 to October 30, is to allow the clerk's office to concentrate on preparing for and executing the 2026 municipal elections.
"Residents planning a ceremony during the pause are encouraged to make alternate arrangements," read a release from the Municipality. "Regular ceremony services are expected to resume after October 30, 2026."
Couples may still apply for marriage licences during this time period.
