Windsor police seek same suspect in knife threat and pepper-spraying

Windsor police are looking for suspects after a boy was threatened with a knife and two teens were pepper-sprayed.

The separate incidents happened on March 30, 2026 and investigators believe the same suspect is responsible for both.

Around 6:30 p.m. a 12-year-old boy was sitting on a bench in a park on Lillian Avenue when he was approached by an unknown man. The teen attempted to intimidate him and when told to leave him alone, the suspect used a knife to cut the boy's pant leg.

The victim was not physically injured and ran home.

Around 40 minutes later, two teens were approached by a man at a community centre on Ypres Avenue. The victims were sprayed in the face with pepper spray.

The suspect left with two other people.

The suspect is described as a white or Middle Eastern man, approximately 15 to 20 years old, and 5’8” tall. He was wearing a black ski mask, black hooded jacket, black pants with white decals, blue and white shoes, and was carrying what is believed to be a cylindrical canister of pepper spray.

The men who joined the initial suspect are also both described as white or Middle Eastern men, around 15 to 20 years old and 5’8” tall. The first one had glasses, black curly hair, a muscular build, and was wearing gold chains around his neck and a black t-shirt, black pants, and black shoes. The second man was wearing a black ski mask, a black hooded jacket, black backpack, black pants, and black shoes.
