Windsor police arrest two on drug charges

A call to Windsor police about two men slumped over in a vehicle led to theft and drug-related charges.

Windsor police say they were called to the area of Ouellette Avenue and Elliott Street around 9:30 p.m. When they arrived, they found the two men slumped over in the driver and passenger seats, and drug paraphernalia and suspected fentanyl were visible inside the vehicle.

The individuals were woken up and removed from the vehicle.

During a search of the vehicle, fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine were seized along with drug paraphernalia and a digital scale.

A 49-year-old and a 38-year-old were charged with three counts of possession for trafficking.

The 49-year-old was also charged with possession of property obtained by crime.
