The Ontario Provincial Police say impaired driving was behind a three-vehicle crash in Essex County on Saturday morning.
No one was hurt, but a 61-year-old Belle River man is charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs or alcohol.
OPP officers were called to County Road 22 near I.C. Roy Drive in Lakeshore around 10:18 a.m.
"If you have an urgent traffic complaint or you suspect someone is driving while their ability to operate a motor vehicle is impaired by drugs or alcohol, please call 911 immediately," said a release from the OPP.
Meanwhile, another allegedly impaired driver was arrested during a traffic stop just before 2:30 a.m. on Sunday on Talbot Street West near Erie Street South in Leamington.
A 35-year-old Kingsville man faces criminal charges, along with offences under the Canadian Cannabis Act and the Highway Traffic Act.
Those include operating a motor vehicle while impaired, not turning safely, and having cannabis readily available while controlling a vehicle or boat.
Both drivers had their licenses suspended for 90 days while their vehicles sit in an impound lot for a week.
