St. Clair College launches course to battle cyber threats

St. Clair College is offering a new course for business executives and organization leaders to battle cyber security threats.

The one-day NOW//AI program is offered in partnership with industry leaders SANS Institute and siberX. It's designed as an interactive, immersive course that teaches leaders how to take decisive actions to mitigate the risks.

"It's training that we know is vital," said St. Clair College President Mike Silvaggi. "It only takes one exercise for you to become an expert and certainly we want it to be on a proactive aspect as opposed to living the exercise in real time."

Experts say all organizations big and small are vulnerable to cyber attacks.

"This is for leaders of any size organization and we want to make sure that they are able to consume the information in a real world applicable way so the next day, when they're done, they can go back and talk to their teams about how to be prepared," said Rushmi Hasham, Director of Mission Programs and Partnerships with the SANS Institute.

Program dates and registration details will be released in the coming months.
