The Windsor Pickleplex Social Club will host the Canadian National Pickleball League Western Split next weekend.
The professional league consists of eight teams across Canada, and four will be competing in Windsor May 23-24.
"It's going to be huge. Four of the best teams in Canada are going to be here, competing at the highest level and this is the highest level that has ever been in Windsor," said Evan Hollinsky, Detroit-Windsor Drive athlete.
The Detroit-Windsor Drive consists of six team members. Three male and three female who will compete in five matches over the course of the tournament.
"It's a fun game, we enjoy it, we're competitive. It's an honour to be able to represent the club and this team. To be able to compete in front of these people is kind of everything," said Lexi Debol, Detroit-Windsor Drive athlete.

"The plan is to bring in bleachers, we're going to have foodtrucks outside. It's going to be a nice setup for the teams, for the players but it's really going to be a production," said Debol. "We want it to be a good time, good competition but we want a nice representation of what the CNPL actually is."
This is the second event of eight in the Canadian National Pickleball League season. Teams that finish in the top six will proceed to the playoffs in September.
