Windsor police track down suspect using stolen credit card

Two suspects were arrested and charged after a stolen credit card was used to make several purchases throughout the city.

Windsor police report they were called to Fletcher Crescent in South Windsor on April 25, 2026. The complainant reported someone broke into their parked vehicle during the night and stole several items, including a wallet, headphones, a baby stroller, and a garage door opener. The suspect also went into the garage and stole an extension cord.

Several fraudulent purchases totalling $600 were made using the victim's credit card.

The Windsor Police Target Base Unit reviewed surveillance video and identified a suspect.

The 31-year-old was arrested and charged with break and enter, theft under $5,000, possession of stolen property and fraud.

A second suspect was arrested after they attempted to use the victim's stolen identification at a financial institution. This suspect is also facing 12 fraud-related charges.
