The long weekend hasn't begun yet for most people, but Windsor police were hard at work this week, dealing with aggressive drivers.
Officers with the Traffic Enforcement Unit conducted an enforcement blitz at locations across Windsor and Amherstburg for four days this week.
On Thursday alone, police cited three people for alleged stunt driving.
A 24-year-old man was stopped on South Cameron Boulevard near Arcadia Street, going 97 kilometres per hour in a 50 kilometre-per-hour zone.
A 22-year-old man was clocked going 101 kilometres per hour in a 60 zone in the area of College Avenue and Huron Church Road.
An 18-year-old woman was stopped in the area of Howard Avenue and South Side Road in Amherstburg, driving 130 kilometres per hour in an 80 zone.
All three drivers had their licences suspended for 30 days, and their vehicles impounded for 14 days.
"Dangerous driving behaviours put everyone on the road at risk," read a social media post from Windsor police. "Motorists are reminded to obey traffic laws and help keep our roads safe."
