Environment Canada (EC) has issued a yellow severe thunderstorm watch for areas in Southwestern Ontario.
According to the alert, the storm is expected on Monday afternoon and evening, with 100 kilometres per hour wind gusts and toonie-sized hail possible.
At this time, the warning has been issued for Sarnia-Lambton, Goderich, Bluewater, Windsor and Chatham-Kent.
The watch has been issued due to thunderstorms in Lower Michigan, which EC expects to move eastward.
EC reports the main hazard is expected to be the strong wind gusts, with outages, as well as damage to roofs, fences, branches, and soft shelters possible.
People are reminded to remain indoors when the thunderstorms begin.
