After rejecting a first collective agreement on Friday, workers at Flex N Gate will vote on a second agreement on Friday.
Unifor Local 195 said it avoided a strike over the weekend by reaching a second agreement with the employer.
It represents 166 workers at the plant on Patillo Road.
It said 50.3 per cent of the membership rejected the first offer, and the existing contract expired on Saturday.
President Emile Nabbout says the members wanted more money and better benefits. He said he can’t release the details of the new agreement until the members vote.
The ratification meeting is at 3 p.m. at Unifor Local 195 on Somme Avenue.
Flex N Gate makes plastic and metal components for the automotive industry.
