Two Belle River men charged following $75K seizure

Ontario Provincial Police have arrested two Lakeshore men following a raid last week.

On Wednesday, May 13, members of the Essex County and Lambton County OPP Community Street Crime Units, the OPP Emergency Response Team, the Windsor Police Target Base Unit, and K-9 Police Dog Vinny, executed a search warrant on a Puce Road home.

Motorcycles, a vehicle, and suspected drugs were seized, with a total estimated value of $75,000.

Two men, a 44-year-old and a 41-year-old, both from Belle River, were arrested.

Both are charged with possession of stolen property above $5,000, as well as below $5,000, along with altering or destroying a vehicle identification number (VIN).

The 41-year-old is additionally charged with cocaine possession, possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, six counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a court order, and failure to comply with a probation order.

Both were held for a bail hearing in a Windsor court.
