An annual golf tournament at the Essex Golf and Country Club will hand 100 per cent of its proceeds over to a men's health program at Windsor Regional Hospital.
The Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation Charity Golf Tournament, held last Wednesday, recently raised $73,000.
The money will go to the Dr Richard Boyd Men's Health Program.
The money will buy advanced diagnostic equipment to screen for prostate cancer, minimally invasive surgical tools, and initiatives so patients can get the treatment they need close to home.
The men's health program at Windsor Regional Hospital was founded several years ago in memory of Dr Boyd, who was the former Chief of Surgery and Head of Urology at the hospital.
