Lineup is set for the 2026 Carrousel of the Nations

The stage has been set for one of Windsor-Essex's most beloved early summer traditions.

The Multicultural Council of Windsor and Essex County (MCC) has formally announced the lineup for the 2026 Carrousel of the Nations.

The event will be held over two weekends, June 12, 13, and 14, and then June 19, 20, and 21.

"As one of the longest-running festivals in Windsor and oldest cultural festivals in Ontario, Carrousel of the Nations reflects the heart of our community," said MCC Executive Director Fred Francis. "For more than five decades, this festival has brought people together through culture, understanding, and celebration, showcasing the incredible diversity that makes Windsor and Essex County so special."

This time out, there will be 42 "villages", each one representing a specific nation, culture, or theme. Most of them will be in the City of Windsor, but some will also be held in Amherstburg, Harrow, Kingsville, LaSalle, and Leamington.

The Carrousel has been an unofficial start to the local summer festival season since the mid-1970s. Visitors are able to experience various world cultures without leaving the region, complete with the food, music, entertainment, arts, and dance of the nations.

The festival is supported by grants from the federal and provincial governments, as well as the Municipality of Leamington.

The complete schedule for each village can be seen below.
