Windsor offering free rec program in parks this summer

The City of Windsor is offering its SUPIE program at 10 local parks this summer.

The program offers free, supervised recreation activities seven days a week from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. for kids ages 4 to 17.

This summer's activities will be hosted at Central Park, Mic Mac Park, Mitchell Park, Lanspeary Park, Garry Dugal Park, Realtor Park, Forest Glade Optimist Park, Fountainbleau Park, Walker Homesite Park, and Remington Booster Park.

City staff bring equipment and facilitate activities like sports, arts, and crafts. Participants can look for the blue flag in the park.

While the program is free, registration is required. It's open now on the city's recreation website.

The city also offers Summer Day Camps at eight of its community centres. Registration information can also be found on the city's website.
