Update: Crashes prompt impaired driving charges in Lakeshore

Three residents face impaired driving charges after a pair of crashes and a separate traffic stop.

The Ontario Provincial Police arrested a 26-year-old Windsor man and two drivers from Belle River.

The first crash was just after 8 a.m. on Friday. A vehicle went into a ditch on County Road 22 near Commercial Boulevard in Lakeshore.

Police arrested a 38-year-old woman and charged her with impaired driving offences.

Just before 10 p.m. on Saturday, the OPP investigated a single vehicle collision on County Road 27 in the South Woodslee area of Lakeshore.

A vehicle went into the ditch. Nobody was hurt, but a Belle River man has had his license to drive suspended for 90 days while his vehicle sits in an impound lot for the next week.

A Windsor man might also have to take the bus after his license was also suspended following a traffic stop in Windsor.

The OPP pulled over a vehicle on Dougall Avenue near the E.C. Row Expressway.
