Windsor police identify person of interest in Erie Street arson

Police say emergency crews were called to the scene of a fire on Erie Street near Mercer Street around 10 p.m. Monday.

Officers found two empty gas cans near the property, which houses several businesses. An accelerant was also found inside the building.

Police found some surveillance footage showing a man running north through an alley in the area of Howard Avenue and Erie Street East. Investigators would like to identify and speak with the individual, who is a person of interest in the case.

The person is described as a man, around 6' tall, wearing a black sweater, black pants, and black shoes.
