Windsor police look for suspect in violent robbery

Windsor police have arrested one suspect and issued an arrest warrant for a second after a violent robbery in downtown Windsor Tuesday afternoon.

Officers were first called to the area of Ouellette Avenue and Tuscarora Street around 2 p.m. They learned a woman riding her bicycle was confronted by two men she knew. Police report one suspect knocked the woman off her bike and yelled "get her."

The victim tried to run away but was struck on the head with a metal water bottle. The suspects stole cash and an MP3 player before taking off.

Investigators identified the suspects. One was arrested on Ouellette Avenue near Elliott Street a short time later. The 36-year-old was charged with robbery with violence.

An arrest warrant has been issued for 27-year-old Patrick McFadden, who is wanted on charges of robbery with violence, assault with a weapon, and disobeying a lawful order of court.
