Windsor police say officers were called to the area of Wyandotte Street and Marentette Avenue around 9 p.m. They learned a car travelling east on Wyandotte Street attempted to make a right-hand turn onto Marentette Avenue and collided with another car.

Both drivers had minor injuries.

One of the drivers ran from the scene before police arrived.

The driver was charged with failure to remain at the scene of a collision, careless driving, driving while under suspension, and failure to properly wear a seat belt.

The vehicle was impounded for seven days.
