Transit Windsor is celebrating a successful 2026 Ford Fireworks after ridership to the riverfront on Monday night soared 31 per cent over last year.
The shuttle service from Devonshire Mall to downtown Windsor carried 6,103 people, while free fares after 6 p.m. that night provided another 7,475 riders. Combined, the total is 13,578 passengers across the network.
Residents were encouraged to ride the bus to the riverfront to reduce traffic congestion after the fireworks display.
The shuttle service and free bus fares were sponsored by Zehrs once again this year.
