Erie Shores Healthcare (ESHC) has announced some changes on its board of directors.
The Leamington-based hospital announced this week that it had named Tom Marinelli as the new chair of the hospital board. Dr. Maxwell Abraham was named vice-chair.
"The hospital extends its appreciation to outgoing board chair Duffy Kniaziew, outgoing vice chair Amanda Sawatzky and outgoing director Mike St. Amant for their service and contributions to ESHC," read a media release from the hospital.
The board also appointed three new members, Debasree Deb, Melissa East Aspila and Kate Giurissevich.
The hospital also released its annual report for the 2025-2026 fiscal year, which was considered a time of transition with the previous President and CEO, Kristin Kennedy, moving to Windsor Regional Hospital.
The report also called attention to marking the hospital's 75th birthday by creating a permanent MRI suite that saw 4,700 patients, setting up a progressive care unit and a doctor-led nocturnist model, and continued efforts to reduce wait times in the emergency department as well as the time needed to move an emergency patient to an inpatient bed.
