Grain worker injured following rescue in Lakeshore

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and at least two Windsor-Essex fire companies were on scene of a rescue operation on Thursday.

Few details have been released, but the OPP West Region reported via X on Thursday that officers were assisting Lakeshore Fire in a rescue at Agris Co-operative Ltd. on Lions Club Road near County Road 27.

A worker had reportedly become trapped inside a structure, with first responders working carefully to free the person.

The OPP reported shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Thursday that the operation had concluded.

There has been no update on the worker's condition.

WindsorNewsToday.ca has reached out to the OPP and to the Ontario Ministry of Labour for additional details, but has yet to receive a response.
