Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were busy over the Civic Holiday weekend.
Officers arrested at least three drivers following alcohol-related incidents in Windsor-Essex.
The first was in Tecumseh at around 3 a.m. on Saturday. Patrol officers conducted a traffic stop on County Road 22 after the driver allegedly failed to stop for a red light.
A 22-year-old Lakeshore woman is charged with impaired driving, driving with excessive blood-alcohol concentration, and a red light violation.
The second was on Monday, involving a two-vehicle collision in Kingsville.
The OPP say it happened on Highway 3 and Division Road.
A 32-year-old Windsor woman is charged with dangerous driving, refusal to comply with a demand, and resisting an officer.
Finally, a Kingsville man was stopped by police at around noon on Monday on Prince Albert Street.
The 51-year-old is charged with driving with an excessive blood-alcohol level and driving with an open container.
The charges have not been proven in court. All three drivers will have court dates in mid-September to respond to the counts.
The drivers have also had their licences suspended for 90 days and their vehicles impounded for seven days.
