Windsor police have arrested a 66-year-old man after two alleged sexual assaults that took place last week.
Officers were called to Goyeau Street and Erie Street East at around 11 p.m. on Friday. Police were told that the suspect had brought the victim back to his home and became aggressive.
The victim was tied up, hit with a metal bar and closed fists, robbed, threatened with a knife, then sexually assaulted numerous times. The victim was released but not before being threatened with death if they told anyone.
The woman went to hospital for treatment, then called police.
Police later linked this incident to one earlier that day. At that time, a woman reported riding in an elevator with the suspect, who allegedly groped her. She was able to shove him away.
Vincent Profetto is charged with two counts of sexual assault, sexual assault with a weapon, two counts of assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, robbery, assault, and uttering death threats.
The charges have yet to be proven in court.
