The Leamington Raceway kicked off its season this year with a packed house and ten races.
President of the Leamington Raceway, Mark Williams, said between 1,200 and 1,500 spectators watched the races on Sunday.
After a 20-minute delay, the raceway held 10 races on Sunday.
Typically, race days will include 11 races if there are enough horses.
The Leamington Raceway is holding 12 race days this season. Previously, it had 13.
The Raceway is a 1/2-mile racetrack located at the Leamington Fairgrounds.
Race days are every Sunday at the Leamington Raceway until the end of October.
