A year after Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare opened the Bob Probert Tecumseh Campus, it's celebrating its success so far.
Since March 2025, the campus has provided care to 422 patients, supported 9,143 visits and appointments, and achieved a 100 per cent overall patient satisfaction rate.
"Over the past year, we have seen firsthand the impact that accessible healthcare can have on patients and families," said Rosie Pipitone-Middleton, Operations Manager of Ambulatory Services. "The Bob Probert Tecumseh Campus was established to reduce barriers to care and better serve our growing communities."
The campus offers outpatient services in cardiac wellness, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech-language therapy, and geriatric assessment.
The campus is a lasting tribute to Bob Probert's legacy, who made a career as an enforcer in the NHL, playing for the Detroit Red Wings and the Chicago Blackhawks. Probert died of cardiac arrest in 2010.
Since Probert's death, fundraising in his name, through events like the Bob Probert Ride, raised more than $1.2-million through the Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare Foundation to support cardiac care in the region.
"The success of the Bob Probert Tecumseh Campus demonstrates what community-driven solutions can achieve and underscores the importance of continued collaboration," added Tecumseh Mayor Gary McNamara.
The campus was the shared vision of Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare, the Town of Tecumseh, the Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare Foundation, the Probert family, and dedicated donors and supporters.
