Windsor-Essex's first pickle festival, Pickle Me Softly, set for November

Organizers of a new food festival in Amherstburg say it's anything but usual.

The first annual Pickle Me Softly event celebrates all things pickled, promising good vibes and a relaxing Saturday afternoon.

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on November 1, Wolfhead Distillery will be transformed into a daytime market featuring pickle-inspired foods, cocktails, local vendors and artisans, and all your Yacht Rock favourites provided by DJ Koul.

The festival is looking for vendors. Space is limited, and interested businesses are encouraged to reach out to event creator Doug Robbins.

"I wanted to create something that was fun, a little different, and very Windsor-Essex," said Robbins. "Pickle Me Softly isn't about taking ourselves seriously. It's about food, music, shopping, supporting local, and having a good afternoon doing it."

The venue is known for its craft spirits, restaurant, and outdoor patio.

Organizers say more details about the event will be released in the coming weeks.
