OPP say this intersection in Leamington is the worst for dangerous behaviour

The Ontario Provincial Police have identified an intersection in Leamington where they say drivers are failing to comply with traffic laws.

The intersection of Danforth Avenue and Carolina Woods Crescent, a three-way stop, has been identified.

The OPP recently conducted a traffic enforcement campaign to ensure drivers were following the rules of the road.

Intersections continue to be a high-risk area, and police are seeing behaviours, including not coming to a full stop at a stop sign, not obeying all traffic signals, and failing to yield the right of way.

"The behaviours we continue to see at intersections are both concerning and preventable," said Staff Sergeant Julie McLeod of the West Region OPP Traffic Safety and Marine Unit. "Every failure to stop, every missed observation, and every decision to rush through an intersection carries the potential for devastating consequences. These are not just traffic violations. They are choices that can result in serious injury and loss of life."

Police say they will continue enforcement and public education at the corner of Danforth Avenue and Carolina Woods Crescent.
