A man wanted in connection with a Toronto murder investigation was arrested in Windsor over the weekend.
Windsor police responded to a residence on Lauzon Road near Tranby Avenue around 7 a.m. Saturday after a call about a disturbance.
Police report that during an investigation, officers found a loaded restricted firearm and suspected fentanyl and cocaine with an estimated street value of $11,416.
Two suspects were arrested without incident.
The Windsor Police Service then learned one of the suspects was wanted by the Toronto Police Service for second-degree murder and attempted murder.
The 26-year-old now faces eight additional charges from the Windsor Police Service, including possession of a loaded regulated firearm, possession of a firearm without a license, and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
The second suspect, a 24-year-old woman, is also facing charges of possession of a loaded regulated firearm, possession of a firearm without a license, possession for the purpose of trafficking, and breach of probation.
