Windsor police are hoping someone can help identify a vehicle sought in connection with a shots-fired incident late Wednesday night.
Officers were sent to Dougall Plaza at around 10 a.m. on Thursday after a business owner called in a complaint about their windows being shot out overnight. Police discovered spent shell casings in the parking lot when they arrived at the scene.
Video footage obtained by investigators showed an SUV entering the parking lot at 11:12 p.m. on Wednesday, according to the timestamp. A passenger fired shots from the vehicle before the SUV fled.
The suspect vehicle is described as a large white SUV, possibly a newer-model Hyundai Santa Fe, as seen below.
Businesses in the plaza were closed at the time, so no one was injured.
Drivers and business owners in the plaza are asked to review their surveillance footage from between 11 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday and call police if they see anything unusual.
