The Municipality of Leamington will join other Windsor-Essex communities in hosting free night markets during the summer.
Waterfront Market Nights will take place at the new Waterfront Market Plaza on Friday, September 11, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
"The Waterfront Market Plaza was created as a place where residents and visitors can gather, connect, and enjoy Leamington’s waterfront," said Mayor Hilda MacDonald in a media release. "Waterfront Market Nights brings that vision to life, and we invite everyone to join us for an evening of live music, local food and entertainment by the water."
Visitors will choose from numerous food and beverage options, including alcoholic beverages, from participating vendors and food trucks.
Live entertainment will be provided by Justin Latam and the Stride from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., and the Jody Raffoul Band from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
LT-Go Transit will operate extended hours until 11 p.m. on the night of the market.
