Air travellers from southwestern and midwestern Ontario will soon have more options if they don't want to drive to Pearson Airport.
Porter Airlines has announced it will be offering more daily flights to Canadian destinations out of the London International Airport. The five new routes will begin in the spring of 2027 and will link the region to Edmonton, Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, and Vancouver.
“This announcement is about more than new flights. It is about connecting Southwestern Ontario to opportunities across Canada,” said London International Airport President and CEO Scott McFadzean. “These five domestic non-stop routes represent a transformational investment in our region, strengthening access for travellers and businesses while enhancing London's position as a growing centre for aviation and aerospace. We thank Porter Airlines for their continued confidence in our airport, our community and our future.”
The announcement by Porter Airlines was made Tuesday, and builds on its previously announced flights from London to Florida, Jamaica, and Mexico that begin in November.
“We are building on the strong passenger response to our recent winter sun destinations announcement by introducing five nonstop domestic routes. This expansion demonstrates that Porter is committed to making London a meaningful part of our network,” said Porter Airlines President Kevin Jackson. “Travellers across Southwestern Ontario will have convenient access to popular cities from coast to coast, combined with the elevated, passenger-first experience Porter is known for. The addition of these routes ensures that over two million residents in the region have convenient travel options from their local airport.”
Porter's plans for flights out of London include seven flights a week to Halifax, 11 to Vancouver, seven to Edmonton, 20 to Ottawa, and 20 to Montreal.
The airline says it is now accepting bookings for the flights.
