The Town of Essex is closing its Gesto Office as of November 1.
Staff in the Building, Planning and Economic Development departments will be relocated to Essex Town Hall on Talbot Street South.
"Bringing our municipal departments together at Town Hall is an exciting milestone for the Town of Essex," said Essex CAO Kate Giurissevich. "By consolidating our teams in one location, we can strengthen collaboration, improve operational efficiencies, and enhance the delivery of municipal services."
Mayor Sherry Bondy calls it a positive step that will make it easier for residents and businesses to access municipal services in one convenient location.
"From everyday inquiries to planning new projects and investments, Town Hall will serve as a central hub for the services and support our community relies on," said Bondy.
Next week, staff will begin their transition, and departments will reopen on November 2.
