Driver charged with impaired after a hit-and-run

A 28-year-old woman is facing impaired driving charges after a hit-and-run collision in East Windsor on Monday.

Windsor police report officers were called to the area of Tecumseh Road East and East Park Drive around 10 a.m. to respond to the collision. Investigators determined a suspect struck an unoccupied parked vehicle and then took off.

The 28-year-old was charged with impaired driving by drug, possession of a schedule 1 substance, refusal to comply with a drug demand, failure to stop after an accident and driving without a qualified driver.

The charges have not been proven in court.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Windsor Police Traffic Enforcement Unit at 519-255-6700, ext. 7032.
