After spending nearly a year trying to woo one of Canada's most coveted quarterback recruits, the Lancer Football team finally secured the commitment. Head coach Joe D'Amore is excited to announce Liam Putt will be on the team for the 2015 season. "For us to attract a kid of his caliber has really shown that we can be an attractive place for the top kids in this province and the country to play," says D'Amore. "We're hoping that this kind of opens the door for kids down the road to say 'hey, if a kid of Liam's caliber can go play at Windsor then maybe it's a place for us as well.'" Putt played for Canada in the Under-19 Football World Championships in 2014, finishing second. He also won the 2012 Damon Allen High School Quarterback Challenge at the age of 15.
