19-year-old Brown is a native of Gananoque, Ontario, and is able to move closer to his hometown. In 137 games in Windsor he posted three goals and 13 assists with 125 penalty minutes and a -34 rating.
Also, the Saint John Sea Dogs of the QMJHL have claimed forward overage forward Sam Povorozniouk off CHL waivers.
A former 2nd round pick (#35 overall) of the Saginaw Spirit, Povorozniouk scored 27 goals and added 38 assists in 108 games with Windsor.
