Lancers End Season With A Win

The Windsor Lancers football team has closed out the 2015 season with a 44-14 win over the Waterloo Warriors at Alumni Field.

On Saturday, the Lancers dominated taking a 15-0 lead at the end of the first quarter and extending it to 29-4 at halftime.  Windsor kept climbing in the third frame with a score of 39-7 going into the fourth.  The Warriors found the end zone with 4:24 left to play in the fourth, but couldn't bridge the gap any further before the end of the game.

Lancer quarterback Casey Wright finished the game with 254 yards and three touchdowns. Wright connected with Nate O'Halloran twice, who finished the game with 84 yards in the air and two touchdowns. Tarrence Crawford led the Lancers on the ground with 78 yards and one touchdown.

The Lancers finished the season with a 2-6 record.

The Toronto Blue Jays lost 7-6 in 10 innings to Tampa Bay. The Kitchener Rangers are OHL champions.
