The Essex 73's shutout the Mooretown Flags 1-0 in Game 3 of their playoff series on Tuesday.
Brayden Kettlewell scored the only goal of the game for the 73's.
Essex now leads the Flags 3-0 in the best-of-seven series.
Mooretown will try to stay alive on Friday when the puck drops for Game 4 at 7:30pm.

The Lakeshore Canadiens hammered the Petrolia Flyers 9-2 in Game 3.
Kyler Carter led Lakeshore with a hat trick, while Jake Nimmo scored twice. Mejoe Gasparovic, Brandon Ireland, Jarrett Tazzman and Ameen Fadel all scored one goal each.
Lakeshore leads their best of seven series 3-0.
The Canadiens will look to sweep the Flyers in Game 4 on Thursday. The puck drops in Petrolia at 7:30pm.
