Guelph fought back to take the advantage by scoring two back-to-back goals in the first half of the third, however, Will Cuylle scored 13:14 into the final frame to force OT.

Luke Kutkevicius scored the game-winning goal for Windsor 2:03 into extra time.

Spitfires goaltender Kari Piiroinen made 43 saves out of 46 shots on net.
