Canada earns bronze in the pool

Canada has its first-ever medal for the men's 200 metre butterfly. It's also the first medal won by a male swimmer in over a decade.

Montreal's Ilya Kharun, 19, set a Canadian record with a time of 1:52.80 to capture the bronze medal in the 200 metre butterfly.

Hometown hero Leon Marchand took the gold with a new Olympic record, while world-record holder Kristof Milak of Hungary took home silver.

This is Kharun's third season swimming internationally. He hits the pool again on Friday for the 100 m butterfly heats.
