It might be the most impressive win of the season for the Windsor Spitfires.
They hosted the London Knights on Saturday and ended up winning 3-2.
They outshot the OHL’s top team 42-15.
It was the Knights who opened the scoring when Henry Brzustewicz found the back of the net in the first period.
Their lead didn’t last long as Cole Davis tied the game just five minutes latter with his 10th goal. The only assist on the play went to Carter Hicks.
Blake Montgomery scored the only goal in the second period for London.
The Spitfires didn’t take long in the third period to tie the game for a second time as AJ Spellacy scored his 11th goal under two minutes in. Carson Woodall and Jean-Christoph Lemieux grabbed assists on the play.
Jack Nesbitt would be the hero as he scored for the Spitfires with just over two minutes left in regulation. His 13th goal was assisted by Liam Greentree and Hicks.
With the win, Windsor sees its record improve to 22-7-2-1, while London moves to 24-6-0-0.
The Spitfire's next game is on Thursday, December 19, at home against the Guelph Storm.
