LaSalle Vipers well-represented at Top Prospects Game

The LaSalle Vipers will have plenty of representation in Elmira later this week.

Windsor-Essex's only Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL) team will have three players on the roster at the GOJHL Top Prospects Game, to be played Friday at Dan Snyder Memorial Arena.

Defenceman Bryce Belleau and Noah Caswell will play on Team Rinaldo in the first game of the doubleheader, at 3 p.m., coached by Zac Rinaldo of the Pelham Panthers.

Belleau, 17, has played in 29 games so far this season, with two goals for eight points. He is from Windsor.

Caswell is the Vipers' top-scoring defenceman this year, with a team-leading 17 assists for 19 points and four penalty minutes. The 17-year-old hails from Innerkip, Ontario.

Forward Julian Gignac will play on Team Schlitt in the nightcap, beginning at 6 p.m. That team is coached by Dave Schlitt of the Stratford Warriors.

Gignac is the overall top scorer for LaSalle, with 14 goals for 26 points, six of those goals on the power play. The 17-year-old is from Windsor.
