The Windsor Spitfires couldn't beat the Flint Firebirds despite scoring four goals.
The two teams faced-off in Michigan with Flint winning 5-4.
Flint opened the scoring with two goals in the first three minutes of the game. The first came from Kaden Pitre and the second Urban Podrekar.
The Spitfires would get one back before the first intermission. Ryan Abraham found the back of the net for his 19th goal with Ilya Protas and Tnias Mathurin getting the assists.
Despite the score, the Spitfires outshot Flint 16-13.
Abraham got his second goal of the game early in the second period to tie the game. Protas with another assist with the second helper going to Anthony Cristoforo.
Cole Davis gave the Spitfires their first lead of the game around halfway through the second period. His 17th goal was assisted by Carson Woodall and Jack Nesbitt.
The Spitfires got 20 shots in the period. The third period was a different story.
Flint's Nathan Aspinall scored twice in the first two minutes to regain the lead.
Abraham would tie the game again a few minutes later with his third goal of the game. However, it was short-lived as Alex Kostov scored the game winner just a couple minutes after.
With the loss, Windsor sees its record drop to 38-13-4-1, while Flint moves to 23-27-2-3.
The Spitfire's next game is on Sunday, February 23, at home against the Saginaw Spirit.
