Ray Robertson says it's hard for him to believe it's been 15 years.
Robertson is with Grey County Agricultural Services - and they're celebrating their 15 years of operation with an open house this weekend.
The Markdale operation was set up following the closure of the Grey County OMAFRA office in 2000.
Robertson says that office had been a go-to location for Grey County farmers.
He felt there was a need to maintain that kind of a facility.
When he asked for support from various Grey County agricultural groups he says the response was quick - and positive.
Grey Ag Services now coordinates Grey Bruce Farmers Week and provides services to a number of organisations, including Georgian Soil and Crop Improvement Association, the Ontario Forage Council and the Ontario Biomass Producers Co-operative.
The centre also provides fact sheets and publications for producers, meeting facilities and runs educational programs.
This weekend's open house will include a chance to show off some new, high-tech equipment for those meeting facilities financed in part by a grant from Trillium's ROOTS Community Fund.
The Grey Ag Services Open House runs Saturday, from 1-3, at their offices in Markdale.

Robertson says when word came out that OMAFRA was planning to close the county office he sent out over 30 letters to farm groups asking for support for the creation of Grey Ag Services.
