The Canadian Cattlemen's Association is giving the federal political parties a chance to respond to the CCA's priorities.
And it plans to post those responses on the Association's website.
CCA President Dave Solverson says cattlemen continue to get excellent prices for their cattle.
He says they'd like to respond to that clear market signal and expand their herds to take advantage of the market opportunities.
Solverson says there are a number of issues that can help create the environment for beef herd expansion in Canada.
The election priorities document includes some of those issues - such as fully-funding risk management programs and investing in infrastructure.
Once expansion takes place, the CCA wants the government to secure access to high value and growing markets and policies to ensure the competitiveness of Canadian producers.
The CCA's Federal Election Priorities document has been sent to the national parties along with a questionnaire on how they intend to address those challenges.
The Association says as the responses are received, it will post them on it's website for cattle producers to assess for themselves.
