Hydro One has created a Farm Rapid Response Team.
It's job will be to help identify, assess and mitigate on-farm electrical issues.
Listowel-area farmer Brent Royce chairs the OFA's stray voltage working group, which was involved in the establishment of that team.
He says the new system will include a 1-800 number for farmers to use to reach that team.
"Now they will have a person you will actually talk to to work through the problem, to escalate the issue, to get proper answers from an issue that also has the ability to work with different people in the company. It really comes down to they've got some accountability there now."
Royce describes Hydro One's Farm Rapid Response Team as a group of six or seven people trained specifically to address farm electrical issues across the province.
They'll be given the job of coordinating information and working together to build the resources and knowledge needed to deal with farm electricity problems
Royce says the OFA group has been working with Hydro One specifically on the stray voltage issue for over 2 years.
